Are you part of an ERG, organization, company, or simply an individual or group of friends looking to make a difference? You can lend your support to our queer and trans community by writing letters right from where you are. Each Build-A-Queer Kit recipient receives a heartfelt letter from someone like you, providing a sense of connection and affirmation.

What To Write

  • Share a personal story where you found strength and resilience in difficult times
  • Express your unwavering support and solidarity with them
  • Reflect on the importance of self-love and acceptance, encouraging them to embrace their authentic selves unapologetically.
  • Share inspirational quotes or affirmations that resonate with you

Things to Keep in Mind

  • Respect Privacy: Avoid including personal information such as your full name, address, or contact details.
  • Use Inclusive Language: Ensure that your language is inclusive and welcoming to individuals of all gender identities and expressions. Avoid assumptions about pronouns or gender identity.
  • Gender-Neutral Language: Use gender-neutral language whenever possible to make the letters applicable and affirming for individuals of all gender identities.

Mailing your Letters

Once you're prepared to send your notes, we advise stacking them into a flat-rate mailer or box. Each individual letter does not need its own envelope.
