Q: Why does this Fair exist?

The North East Florida Trans Resource Fair was created to remove barriers between trans people and the care, education, and community they deserve. In a region where affirming services can be difficult to access, the Fair makes those resources visible, free, and available in one supportive space.

Q: Who organizes the Fair?

The Fair is organized and led solely by The Queer Trans Project , a Black- and trans-led nonprofit based in Jacksonville, Florida. Our team coordinates every part of the event, from programming and partnerships to accessibility and safety, with the support of volunteers and community sponsors. Our mission is to improve the lives of trans and nonbinary people through access, education, and community care.

Q: Is it really free to attend?

Yes. Entry is completely free for all attendees. Thanks to community sponsors, donors, and volunteers, we ensure no one is turned away because of cost.

Q: How can I get involved?

There are several ways to participate: – Vendors & Exhibitors: Share your services, products, or programs with attendees. – Sponsors: Help us keep the Fair free by covering events, accessibility, or giveaway costs. – Volunteers: Join our team to support event setup, registration, or hospitality. The Fair is supported through grants, community donations, and sponsorships from affirming organizations. Every contribution directly covers event costs, accessibility services, gender-affirming giveaways, and safety resources, keeping the Fair free for everyone.

Safety is one of our top priorities. We partner with trained security and crisis-response staff, have clear anti-harassment policies, and maintain controlled entry points for attendees.

Q: Is the Fair accessible?

Yes. The venue is ADA-accessible, with ASL interpretation, and wheelchair access. We are committed to making every aspect of the Fair welcoming and accessible to all.

What’re We’re Up To

Building Access, Visibility, and Care for the Trans Community

The North East Florida Trans Resource Fair is an annual event hosted by The Queer Trans Project, a Black- and trans-led nonprofit based in Jacksonville, Florida. What began as a small gathering has grown into one of the region’s most comprehensive events dedicated to supporting transgender and nonbinary people.
Our mission is simple: access saves lives. The Fair connects community members with affirming care, education, and resources, all in one inclusive space. Held every November, it brings together trans and nonbinary people, allies, and loved ones from across Florida and the Southeast for a day of care, joy, and collective empowerment. Entry is completely free, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to anyone seeking connection or support.
